avoidance strategies

what I do to avoid looking at my notes:

wall decoration

I decided it was time to hang up all my swap quilts and some UFO's - maybe I will work on them if I stare at them long enough

red velvet cake

I decided to use all those fantastic cake suggestions from the SMS give-away - I tried a red velet cake. Yes I tried, it just didn't want to become that fantastic red, but it still tastes great. I will try it again and just buy more bottles of food colouring.

9 patches

I worked on my DP9-blocks with the result that I am now at the scary point where I have to cut them in quarters ... I think I shouldn't use the scissors - but I'm too impatient to wait for a rotary cutter, so I probably will just cut them anyway. I'm getting better at the "on point" stuff

9 patches

Oh yes, I also did what I was supposed to do - sitting on the floor enjoying the sun and try not to get distracted with a lovely pot of Earl Grey.

afternoon tea - study time wise

UPDATE: more avoiding resulted in this:

  1. I see that you finally hung your courtains. Love them! You have a lot of space on the walls with that tall ceiling.

  3. The yellow centre blocks look great in the disappearing nine patch. Love your curtains and all your pretty pieces on the wall. And the yummy looking cake. How did you find time to study at all?
