ReplyDeleteI love this magazine because the content is friendly and the clear :D
I like Quilting Arts magazine but it's hard to find in the UK so I have a subscription to make sure I don't miss a copy! I find the UK quilting magazines uninspiring!
ReplyDeleteI'm a happy follower!
ReplyDeleteI have not yet subscribed to a quilting magazine. Though I have thought about it a lot as a few I have won in giveaways etc. Don't yet have a favorite. My 14 year old daughter has made 2-3 items from them that has been cute.
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower. And I love questions. So first what do you call that star above it's woven but what pattern did you use or did you create it yourself. Second what is your favorite wild color combo. I personally like Bright orange and gray and purple and gray.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity on a great draw. Love the star. I don;t have a favourite mag, just buy what catches my fancy at the time.

So cute! I made a bunch of these out of paper a long time ago, but never fabric! I love quilters newsletter magazine, it's a good combination of creative inspiration, newsy articles, and quilt patterns.
ReplyDeletei don't subscribe to any quilter mags, but i love your stars. i made them out of paper before, but not fabric. what a fabulous idea!!
ReplyDeleteA-MAY-ZING!!!!! This is awesome!! My fingers are crossed for sure! I quite like Mollie Makes but I spend my pennies on fabric so don't subscribe to the magazines - yet!!
ReplyDeleteI am a happy follower and tahnk you for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite magazine is Quick Quilts they have very pleasing quilts and easy fast patterns. Only problem is I start so many I never seem to get my UFO's done. LOL
ReplyDeleteHey Leonie, I subscribed to Quilter's Newsletter for many years. I also bought old issues at our guild flea market just out of historical curiosity. I think for a new bee to the quilt world QN is a good place to start. Good beginner's projects and lots of intermediate and advanced stuff for those interested. it also keeps one informed about the more important events in the quilt world like shows etc. I love the little stars, perfect for christmas ornaments! cheers, CW
ReplyDeleteI just started subscribing to Machine Quilting Unlimited and the sister mag that just started Modern Quilts Unlimited. They are available online, which I really like.
ReplyDeleteCan I still enter if I don't read quilting magazines? I've never quilted before, but I'd love to win a star!

Wow! That is super tiny, I don't subscribe to any quilting magazines. The internet is full of so many tutorials and inspiration that I feel like I don't need a magazine.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I buy Quilting Arts magazine because it has interesting patterns and shows different techniques for working with fabric and embellishments. Otherwise I only buy the occasional magazine.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower of your blog :)
ReplyDeleteI receive the Better Homes and Gardens American Patchwork and Quilting as it came as a free subscription for buying one of their quilt books. It has some good stuff in it but is what I would term fairly traditional with no modern standouts.
ReplyDeleteMy 2 favorite magazines are Primitive Quilts and the American Patchwork and Quilting.
ReplyDeleteI follow you through GFC.
ReplyDeleteI like Australian Homespun, there is a UK distributer that I often buy from at shows or my local quilt shop occasionally stocks it, it is a nice mixture of sewing projects, quilting, embroidery/stitchery, doll/softies and a good mix of traditional and modern styles, and also their are factual articles about really random topics kind of linked to the projects, and interviews with the designers featured.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Patchwork is the one I am most attracted to and purchase. Thanks for the give-away!
ReplyDeleteI don't receive any quilting/patchwork magazines but I can recommend a new quilting book "Sunday Morning Quilts", co-authored by fellow Wisconsinite Amanda Jean Nyberg. I keep all my fabric scraps, so I love this book!
ReplyDeleteAmerican Patchwork
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the new Fabricate magazine.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am a follower
ReplyDeleteQuilty - I love their choices of patterns.
